Shipping: Orders are processed within 1-3 days of the order being placed for in stock items. We ship via UPS & USPS (3-5 business days once shipped). Delivery time depends upon your location within the US (we ship from Charleston, SC) at a Flat Rate of $9.99 within the continental US. We offer expedited shipping which has varying rates.

Orders of $250+ SHIP for FREE with the exception of fragile or heavy items in which case the cost to ship is higher &/or the order has to ship in 2 shipments.

Free Shipping is defined as Standard Ground Shipping and within the Continental US only.

Fragile & Heavy Items are charged a varying rate based upon weight. 

We offer worldwide shipping. Varying rates apply.

Orders CANNOT be changed, modified, or canceled after checkout.

US Postal Service Guarantees

  • We are NOT responsible if the package is not delivered in the guaranteed shipping times as it may take 1-3 business days to process the order, and we cannot be held liable for USPS guarantees. If the item is not delivered in time, please contact USPS (1-800-ASK-USPS). We will NOT refund additional shipping charges if USPS fails to meet their guaranteed shipping times. 

UPS Guarantees

  • We are NOT responsible if the package is not delivered in the guaranteed shipping times as it may take 1-3 business days to process the order, and we cannot be held liable for UPS guarantees.  If the item is not delivered in time, please contact UPS (1-888-742-5877). We will NOT refund additional shipping charges if UPS fails to meet their guaranteed shipping times. 

LOST PACKAGES: James Ascher is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages once we have shipped them & the carrier’s tracking states that they were in transit. Items that are lost or damaged by carriers, marked as delivered or stolen are the responsibility of the shipping carrier & you will need to file a claim with them directly.

:  ALL Returns must be received within 14 Days of the Delivery Confirmation Date to receive a Store Credit.

  1. Full Priced Item Returns are issued a Store Credit which expires 365 days from the Date of Issue.
  2. Discounted / Sale Section Clothing Items are returnable for a 30 DAY Store Credit, less a 20% RESTOCKING FEE.
  3. All Home Goods & Accessories are FINAL SALE.
  4. Local Pickup Orders must be picked up within 14 days of Pickup Notifcation Email. After 14 days, items will be considered forfeited & returned to inventory. There will be no returns, exchanges or gift cards issued after 14 days. Accessories & home goods are final sale with Local Pickup, just as online & in store. 

Items must be unworn, unwashed, with tags, in original packaging & condition. No exceptions.

If your return is accepted, a store credit will be issued via email once the return has been inspected & approved. Allow 3-5 days once your return has been received for processing time - you will be notified via email once we have started the return process.

It is the customer’s responsibility to keep up with their store credit information & credit expiration date(s). We will not extend a store credit expiration date if it is missed.

***If the return is outside of the return window, customer will have 3 business days to send a prepaid return label to ship the item(s) back. After 3 days, the item(s) will be returned to inventory or donated.

Your Packing Slip must be enclosed with your return so that we know whom to credit.

Shipping via a trackable manner is suggested as items returned to us that are not received are the responsibility of the Customer.

Exchanges: Because we are a small business, we are unable to pay to reship an exchange if the size you ordered does not fit. We make every effort to give lengthy product descriptions & are available via chat on every product page to assist in choosing the correct size. If you’d like to exchange we suggest placing another order to ensure your size doesn’t sell out.

Damaged Items: Customer has 3 days upon receiving your order to notify us of any damage to an item in order for it to be replaced or refunded. If we are not notified within 3 days of receiving the item, it will no longer qualify for a return or replacement. You must include a photo of the damage/defect with your email.

  • We are not responsible for damages to clothing caused by improper care or handling, or incorrect sizing.
  • Exact colors of merchandise may vary due to photography lenses, indoor/outdoor lighting, and computer monitor resolutions. Clothing patterns may also vary. These do not qualify as defects.

SizingVaries from item to item as items have different designers. If unsure, feel free to email the address above for specific questions. We are also available via email chat to answer questions - on the bottom of every product page is a “Question & Answers” section which we reply to in a timely manner. All efforts are made to list as much sizing & product information for each item.

Pre-Order ItemsSome best selling items that we preorder / reorder / restock are listed for sale before they are physically in stock. Every effort is made to relay this information to you prior to or immediately after purchase via email, if not widely published before online. Once we receive Pre-Order Items, they are shipped to you via UPS or USPS 3-5 Day Delivery once shipped (unless you paid for expedited shipping) and tracking information will be automatically sent to you from James Ascher once it ships.
